Just Starting Out On Your Spiritual Path

No matter how far along on your spiritual path that you are now, at one point you were just starting out. Some people were lucky enough to be have been guided right from the beginning but there are so many people that struggle by themselves, searching for a connection with other like minded people. It can be quite difficult for many people who are just starting out on their path to spirituality and enlightenment when there is no one to show them where to start.

So where to start? How to begin to create those connections that will be so important during the many stages of growth and healing? How can those mentors and friends be found when you really do not even know where to begin. It is actually pretty easy to connect with other people, a lot easier than you may even think.

If you do not have any friends or associates that are on the same path as you are, than perhaps you could find some centers or shops in your local area. A quick internet search will help you to locate these places. Once you find a center that incorporates any of the paths that you are interested in you can find out if there are classes or healing sessions that you could participate in. Most shops or centers will offer a plethora of classes at a range of prices. Of course many classes could be a little pricier than others but there are typically at least a few that may be offered at minimal prices or donations. This allows everyone in all economic stages to benefit from the classes.

Reiki shares are also a wonderful way to meet others. This is where a center or business will have a few Reiki practitioners come in to share Reiki with people. Many other modalities and paths may offer “tastes” of energies or discussions to allow people who have never experienced these modalities to enjoy and become acquainted with them.

If classes are not something that you are ready for or anything that you want to do, you can find some meetup groups in your area. Again a quick internet search could be ran to find websites that offer groups of people a way to connect. You will be able to find like minded people that are on the same path as you or have the same interests in spirituality that you do by filtering your searches. You can find groups that meet weekly or monthly in public areas to discuss ideas and spiritual things. These are usually free of cost and can be found on any day of the week.

So even if you are starting on a solitary path in the beginning of your journey, you do not have to continue to be alone if you do not want to. At one point of another there may be a time where you will need to have some kind of guidance. You may need answers to questions that you can not find on the internet or in books. Mentors, teachers, and friends can help you. So please remember that there are people out there that you can share your journey with and that you are not alone.
